The old yellow pavilion in Freedom's VFW Park was removed in late October to make space for a new and more modern structure. The new structure is planned to have both indoor and outdoor space for public use.
Freedom's Veterans Day program was held Nov. 11 in the Freedom High School field house with middle school and high school bands performing to an audience made up primarily of middle school students and military veterans and their families. Pictured is a group of military veterans who joined for a group photo after the event.
Bill Conrad Jr. and Randy Conrad have been in business together for 25 years as of December 2009. Although their business has grown and changed over the years, they still hold onto their auto repair portion of the business to this day.
